HONOURING THE FAMILIES OF OUR FALLEN HEROES THROUGH AFFORDABLE HOUSING

July 24, 2026

In a significant demonstration of its commitment to social impact and inclusive housing delivery, Family Homes Funds Limited (FHFL) formally handed over 50 units of two-bedroom detached, energy-efficient bungalows to the spouses of Nigeria's fallen heroes in Idi-Ape, Akobo, Lagelu Local Government Area of Oyo State, on Friday, 10 July 2026, at the PHDL Headquarters, Asokoro, Abuja,

The housing intervention, facilitated through the Post-Service Housing Development Limited (PHDL), reflects a shared commitment to providing safe, dignified, and sustainable homes for the families of military personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the nation.

The formal handover ceremony was conducted by representatives of Family Homes Funds Limited (FHFL) alongside officials of the Post-Service Housing Development Limited (PHDL) of the Nigerian Army, the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), the project developer/contractor, and other key stakeholders, marking the successful completion and transfer of the housing estate.

The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of FHFL, Mr. Abdul-Mutallab Mukhtar, officially handed over the completed homes, while the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of PHDL, Major General Isaiah Allison, received the estate on behalf of the Post-Service Housing Development Limited.

The housing units were constructed with energy-efficient features to promote sustainability, lower energy consumption, and provide a comfortable living environment for the beneficiaries.

This initiative underscores FHFL's unwavering commitment to expanding access to quality, affordable housing while supporting national development priorities through strategic partnerships. Beyond delivering homes, the project restores hope, honours the sacrifices of Nigeria's fallen heroes, and provides their families with the security and dignity of homeownership.

At FHFL, we remain committed to delivering innovative housing solutions that transform lives, strengthen communities, and contribute meaningfully to reducing Nigeria's housing deficit.

Financing Homes. Building Communities. Transforming Lives.
