FAMILY HOMES FUNDS IS THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING COMPANY OF THE YEAR AT AFRICA HOUSING AWARDS

Abuja, Nigeria – Family Homes Funds Limited (FHFL) has been named the Affordable Housing Company of the Year at the 2022 Africa Housing Awards (AHA).

The awards ceremony which took place on Thursday 15 December 2022 at the International Conference Centre, Abuja was a recognition of excellence in Africa’s growing housing sector featuring prominent brands and stakeholders.

Family Homes Funds, according to the organizers was named the Affordable Housing Company of the Year because of the significant impact the company is making across Nigeria through the delivery of affordable housing for thousands of families on low-income.

To date, Family Homes Funds has financed the development of over 15,000 homes, with an active pipeline of over 20,000 homes across Nigeria. In the process, over 80,000 direct and indirect jobs have been created, with strong consideration for local content in the construction works. The company’s life ambition is to provide up to 500,000 homes and create 1.5m jobs in the process through partnerships and innovation.

The Acting Managing Director of Family Homes Funds, Mr. Sani Yakubu thanked the organizers for the recognition and reiterated FHFL’s commitment to the progressive delivery of affordable housing for families who need it the most.

FHFL is currently working with strong partners including State Governments and private developers across the country to facilitate the construction of affordable homes for families on a low income. The company’s life-changing strategy involves collaboration, innovation, and sustainability.

The Africa Housing Awards is a research and award project with the objective of recognizing and celebrating innovation and excellence in the housing and construction industries.
