Strengthening Bonds for Affordable Housing: PHDL Visits Family Homes Funds limited.

July 05, 2025

On Tuesday, July 1, 2025, the Executive Management of Post Service Housing Development Limited (PHDL), led by Major General I.A. Allison, MD/CEO, paid a courtesy visit to Family Homes Funds Limited (FHFL) in Abuja. This strategic engagement underscored the deepening partnership between both organizations, aimed at delivering affordable housing for retired Nigerian Army personnel.

The visit provided a platform to advance discussions on promoting housing welfare and sustainable living for the Nigerian Army community, aligning with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. Major General Allison emphasized the importance of decent and affordable housing in sustaining the morale and dignity of retired personnel who have dedicated years to national service. “This collaboration is not just about homes; it’s about honoring the sacrifices of our heroes by ensuring a dignified transition into retirement,” he stated.

In response, FHFL’s MD/CEO, Mr. Abdul Mutallab Mukhtar, reaffirmed FHFL’s commitment to the partnership, pledging continued support to deliver housing units across Nigeria’s six geo-political zones. He highlighted the power of public-sector synergy in achieving large-scale social impact through housing initiatives, noting, “Together, we can create sustainable communities that uplift lives and drive national development.”

PHDL’s mandate is to provide affordable homes and land ownership opportunities for Nigerian Army personnel, ensuring a comfortable retirement. In collaboration with FHFL and the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), PHDL is leveraging technical and developmental expertise to bring this vision to life.

This partnership marks a significant milestone in Nigeria’s housing reform efforts, prioritizing those who have served the nation while advancing the national agenda of inclusive housing and social development. As both organizations move forward, their shared commitment promises to deliver tangible results, creating lasting impact for retired Nigerian Army personnel and their families.
