Data Dashboard

Family Homes Funds Ltd (“FHFL”) endeavors to make its project data as freely available as possible to demonstrate the successes of its model and encourage other actors into the affordable housing movement. FHFL provides the user with access to these data free of charge subject to the terms of this agreement.

5. Licenses

5.1

Users are encouraged to use the data to benefit themselves and others in creative ways.

5.2

Unless specifically labelled otherwise, you are free to copy, distribute, adapt, display, or include the data in other products for commercial or non-commercial purposes for no cost under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (“CC BY 4.0 License”), with the additional terms below. By using or downloading the data, users are agreeing to comply with the terms of a CC BY 4.0 License, and agreeing to comply with the following mandatory and binding additions:

  • 5.2.1

    You agree to provide attribution to FHFL in any published use of the data, including but not limited to articles, papers, forms, blogs, books. Usage includes both direct publication of the existing data, along with any analysis undertaken by the user. This attribution should include FHFL’s name and the following link – www.fhfl.com.ng/dashboard. An electronic copy of all reports and publications based on the requested data should be sent to FHFL.

    When published use contains Market Shaping Indicators data, or analysis of Market Shaping Indicators data, from African countries, you agree to also provide attribution to the Centre for Affordable Housing Finance in Africa (“CAHF”). This attribution should include CAHF’s name and the following link – housingfinanceafrica.org. An electronic copy of all reports and publications based on the data should be shared with CAHF (info@housingfinanceafrica.org).

  • 5.2.3

    When sharing or facilitating access to the data from the Data Dashboard, you agree to include the same acknowledgement requirements, as set out above, in any sub-licenses of the data that you grant, and a requirement that any sub-licensees do the same. You may meet this requirement by providing a hyperlink to these Terms of Use.

  • 5.2.4

    Some datasets and indicators are provided by third parties and may be subject to additional terms and conditions. Where applicable, third-party data is labelled as such, and usage conditions can be found on their respective websites.

6. Accounts

6.1

The Data Dashboard requires you to create an account to download any data, though not to view data online. All account holders are subject to the following rules:

  • 6.1.1

    You must be at least 16 years old.

  • 6.1.2

    If asked for any personal details, you must answer truthfully (please see FHFL’s Privacy Policy for what we do with those details). You must supply a valid e-mail address. Any users found to have provided incorrect answers are liable to have their accounts deleted without warning.

  • 6.1.3

    You are responsible for the security of your account and making sure that any contact details in the account are kept up to date.

  • 6.1.4

    You must not let anyone else use your account. If pressure is applied to you to do so — for example if an employer demands your username and password — please inform them that their attempt to subvert your agreement with FHFL will mean that they have no permission to use any of FHFL’s services.

  • 6.1.5

    You must let us know of any unauthorized use of your account as soon as you are able to after becoming aware of it.

  • 6.1.6

    FHFL reserves the right to suspend or terminate an account at any time. Equally, you may close your account at any time.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted under applicable law:

If you breach any of your obligations under this agreement and, as a result, cause FHFL to be sued by anyone else, you will have to provide compensation for any loss that FHFL has suffered as a result. This includes any costs that are incurred defending a claim (both monetary and time) as well as any damages awarded.

7.2

FHFL shall not be liable to you or any other party for any direct, indirect, or consequential losses, including but not limited to any loss of profits, loss of sales or business, loss of savings, loss of or damage to goodwill, or any loss of use or corruption of software, data or information howsoever occurring, regardless of whether such loss was foreseeable or unforeseeable.

Neither party is liable for anything which is beyond their reasonable control.

8. Data Accuracy

8.1

FHFL strongly recommends that FHFL data be acquired directly from the Data Dashboard and not through other sources that may change the information in some way or exclude material crucial to the understanding of that information.

8.2

Every effort is made to provide accurate and complete information. However, accuracy of data is often dependent on accurate primary data collection by FHFL’s downstream partners, and we cannot guarantee that there will be no errors. We make no claims, promises, or guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or adequacy of the data of this website and expressly disclaim liability for errors and omissions. Some data may also change between updates, and substantive changes may be noted when data is next updated.

8.3

The data posted on the Data Dashboard and website may contain hypertext links or pointers to information created and maintained by other public and private organizations. These links and pointers are provided for visitors’ convenience. FHFL does not control or guarantee the accuracy, relevance, timeliness, or completeness of any linked information.

9. Personal Data

9.1

Some of the data displayed on the Data Dashboard will refer to individual project clients. We will only use personal data as set out in our Privacy Policy. In cases where you are registering to download data from FHFL’s Data Dashboard, we will always anonymize key identifiers such as name, house number, phone number/email but we may potentially keep data such as your employer’s name, income, and household demographics.

9.2

Users agree that no attempt will be made to re-identify any respondents, and no use will be made of the identity of any individual discovered inadvertently via a data breach. Any such breach should immediately be reported to FHFL by emailing info@fhfl.com.ng

This agreement is between FHFL and the user and is not intended to give anyone else any rights.

FHFL may sometimes fail to enforce our rights under this agreement (for example because we decide not to, or we did not realize you were in breach of contract). Just because we have not enforced any of our rights, does not stop us from doing so in the future.
