Suleiman Barau (OON, fcib, fnim)



Mr. Suleiman Barau is a distinguished professional with more than 18 years of experience as a Public Servant and 17 years in banking. He has served as the Deputy Governor of the CBN and as the MD of Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Plc. He also currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Red Star Express Nigeria. He is an Alumnus of the Ahmadu Bello University, The University of Jos, INSEAD, University of Bradford and the Harvard Kennedy School.

Sani Yakubu

Mr. Sani Yakubu is a finance and investment expert with over 30 years’ experience in corporate banking, investment, and policy advisory. Before joining Family Homes Funds as the Chief Housing Investment Officer, he was a Senior Special Assistant to the President of Nigeria on the National Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP) with specific assignment to oversee the Industrialization component of the National Plan implementation starting from July 2017 till May 29th, 2019. Following a long career in banking, he also served as the Managing Director of Abuja Urban Mass Transport Co. Ltd., and as the Head of Investment at Abuja Investment and Property Development Co. Ltd. Mr. Sani has an MBA from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

Aminu Umar-Sadiq

Non-Executive Director


Mr. Aminu Umar-Sadiq is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA). He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Engineering Sciences from the University of Oxford. He has significant experience in the financial services sector spanning Public Finance Management, Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity, and Asset Management. Prior to becoming the MD of NSIA, he served as the Executive Director responsible for all investment and portfolio management activities of the Nigeria Infrastructure Fund (NIF), NSIA’s multi-product, cross-sector domestic infrastructure fund.

Mohammed Umar

Mr. Mohammed Umar has over 40 years of experience as a quantity surveyor. He has headed the Quantity Surveying section in the Ministry of Works and Housing and established the Quantity Surveying Section for the Ministry of Housing and Environment, both in Kano, Nigeria. He is currently the Managing Director of MRU Cost Consultants. Mr Umar is a member of Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Nigeria and Quantity Surveyors International, and an alumnus of both Eaton College, UK and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria.

Chiweze A. Ukwuoma

Mr.Chiweze Ukwuoma is an experienced Corporate and Investment Attorney and a Barrister at law. He worked as a corporate lawyer for 9 years in different banks including Continental Merchant Bank of Nigeria Ltd (formerly Chase), GamjiBank Ltd, and Chase Merchant Bank. He is a Partner in the Law firm of Crux Solicitors and the CEO of Neighbours P&S Ltd, a group involved in Civil Engineering, Commodities Merchandising and Pharmaceuticals. He is an alumnus from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and the University of Lagos.

Muhammadu A. Jumba, Amb. (Arc)

Amb. Muhammadu Jumba is a Principal Partner at Design & Planning Consultants, Architects and Engineers. He was formerly the Nigerian Ambassador to the State of Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates. He has also served as the Honourable Commissioner for the Ministry of Works, Housing and Land Development with the Bauchi State Government, and as the Director of Works and Physical Planning Department at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi.He is an alumnus of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria.

Ms. Aisha Omar

Non-Executive Director


Ms. Aisha Omar is an established public servant with over 25 years’ experience in providing high quality finance and management support for public projects and mandates. She is a public finance specialist with vast experience in public financial management, development of trade and finance policies and fiscal relations, project development and policy advisory.

She is currently a Director in the Federal Ministry of Finance, Abuja, Nigeria. She has worked in many capacities within the Federal Ministry of Finance, and has served in several Presidential Committees and as Project Manager including for World Bank assisted projects. She has a BSc in Business Administration (Finance Management and Banking) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and a litany of professional qualifications.
